Why 90 Days?

What is so special about 90 Days? Well nothing and everything. My Grandfather Gene Hamman was a “90 Day Wonder” in WWII. He was turned from a civilian into a Naval Officer expected to go to war in 90 days after the attack on Pearl Harbor in 1942. P90X and Tony Horton says you can get “ripped” in 90 Days. More importantly since I have a more than a full time job, time is thin and what may take someone 30 or 45 days if they do not have to report to work every day for 12 hours, should take me twice as long.

So what is the main goal? I want to create a business to generate income for my family, take back my creative side, get back into shape and more importantly become free of the daily grind that is my job. My job is not a bad one, it just offers no room for creativity, upward movement, freedom, and though I make decisions every day I don’t get to make “the” decisions. I just want more for myself and my family.

I decided to blog about it just to get my thoughts down and help me focus. I will need to turn the next 90 Days into a type of Boot Camp, a lifestyle changing Boot Camp. You cannot expect to keep doing the same thing everyday and just wish for a different outcome. Isn’t that the definition of insanity? So what are a few things that I have already started???

  • I have already started taking JAVA classes online. I can do these on my lunch break, and later at night.
  • Workout time is 0445 every morning 6 days a week.
  • Business ideas include mobile or web apps. I like to solve problems with tech.
  • Building a list of 20 personal short and long term goals for the next 18 months.

Well, there we go. I will try to post every 2-3 days to keep track of my progress, and who knows maybe I can even get a few followers on this little blog.

Act don’t re-act.
